Saw them open for Rush twice in '80/'81 at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. I'll never forget the first time either. The lights went down, and MW opened with "Check." If you're not familiar with that tune, it opens with the loud, electric, "pop" sound of a guitar being plugged into an amp. And every amp/speaker in that place was turned to 11. Possibly 12! (It scared the crap outta most people there!). There's a long pause after that, it was still dark, and the crowd was quiet. People started murmuring something like "Oh no! WTF blew up? Did their equipment just explode?" It was a memorable opening to a concert for sure. And during Battle Scar, I swear they knocked the dust off the rafters in that place. The crowd loved 'em. They rocked!
