Well, the gig was originally booked at a local soft seater, possibly the Playhouse Theatre or The Burton Cummings Theatre, can't remember, but earlier on the day of the show, the promoters moved it to a local well known bar The Zoo because lack of ticket sales. Can you believe it?!?!?! So, we're a little disappointed obviously, but I'm so pumped to be a part of this show I forget about it quickly. I went to the venue really early as I wanted to be their when Max arrived to greet them. Eventually, the tour bus rolls up but it's only the crew carrying all the stage gear in the cargo holds underneath and on the bus. I meet the crew and begin to help them unload-of course I go right for Gary's drum cases first. The band arrive a few hours later and i begin talking to Kim and remind him of all the times we had met in the past and he actually remembered, as does Gary. We hang, they do soundcheck, they leave, we do soundcheck and wait for the show. We do our set and wait for Max hits the stage and it's nothing less than phenomenal and we're all left looking for our heads afterwards which were completely blown off.
A highlight for me was when they did Terry's Engine Room—I was hoping they'd do something new. After the show we bombarded them with love. I bought a shirt, which I got them to all sign and a copy of Teratology. I'll never forget this—when I approached Terry to sign my shirt, he looked at me and all of a sudden grabbed both of my tits in each of his hands, like you would a woman, and said to me “the shirt you're wearing really compliments your chest.” Hahahahahaha I couldn't believe it."
