Morris Pert and Chuck Burgi drummed for Brand X that day.

They got pummeled with the HoneyDew containers. The stage was covered in them. The bass player was dressed in jungle fatigues and looked like Fidel Castro. Phenomenal bassist. He got the worst of it. Too far above the minuscule minds of the strictly "rock n roll" Toronto mindset of that time period. They were too stuck up to even give a great jazz fusion band a chance and missed an opportunity to grow musically.

Brand X opened up - amazing performance. Kim Mitchell came out wearing a dress. Hilarity ensued.

I always remember Phil watching Brand X from side stage. Wished he’d jumped in for a tune! I also remember being REALLY happy for the Max machine that day!

They were having a blast up there, you could tell.

During Max's set, someone on field level grabbed a cop's hat and began tossing it around. It caused enough of a commotion during the song that even Kim was making comments about it afterwards.
