Details

Although it's now known that the intro to The Party was recorded at Seneca College in Toronto on New Year's Eve, they actually attempted this at numerous shows (including this one) and chose the best of the bunch. Some of the final version also comes from Uncle Sam's in Niagara Falls.

Based on fan recollections, here's an incomplete list of shows where this was attempted:

Guelph - 12 November 1977
Brampton - 24 November 1977
Barrie - 3 December 1977
Toronto - 31 December 1977
Niagara Falls - January 1978

My friends and I were there front row. Great show. Mike Tilka scared the crap out of Lori. She wasn't paying attention, so he charged straight at her full speed, stopped just short of her and flashed a grin. After that, Max had her full attention.
